🎉 Give it up for Melanie on hitting her 500th class! 🎉

Of course, she wouldn’t let us take a solo photo of her. 😆

If you’ve spent any time around the gym, you know Melanie as the owner of Sassy Cat Sourdough and as someone who is always thinking of others. She’s the kind of person who shows up with fresh loaves of sourdough just because, and goes out of her way to make people feel appreciated.

500 classes is an incredible milestone and a testament to her consistency, dedication, and commitment to herself. The best part? She’s made our community better every step of the way.

Congratulations, Melanie! We’re lucky to have you as part of the family, and we can’t wait to see what the next 500 classes bring. ❤️💪

Megan walked into class the other day and announced that Hannah saved her life.

Okay, maybe not literally…..

Megan woke up to discover a mouse running around her apartment. Naturally, she reached out for help. Hannah showed up, armed with mouse traps, and helped set them throughout the apartment.

Problem solved.

What we love most about this story isn’t the mouse (or Megan’s panic level). It’s the fact that this is what our community looks like.

People showing up for each other.

Not just during workouts. Not just when it’s convenient. But outside the gym too.

The friendships built here go far beyond an hour-long class. They’re built through shared struggles, encouragement, laughter, and apparently the occasional mouse emergency.

This is what makes our community special.

Come for the fitness. Stay for the people who will help you deal with a mouse invasion. 🐭😂

When we showed up for Open Gym yesterday, Veronica took to her corner to take on Murph all by herself. That’s no small feat, and there were some huge victories worth celebrating along the way.

💪 She knocked out 50 push-ups before switching to banded push-ups.

🔥 She took on the challenge of Murph solo, which is as much a mental battle as it is a physical one.

🤌 And can we talk about those pull-ups? Absolutely dialed in.

Most importantly, she finished with a smile on her face, and in true CrossFit fashion with two of her friends running with her! (shoutout to .e.p and ) knowing she accomplished something that she’s put a lot of work into making happen.

This is what progress looks like. Showing up. Challenging yourself. Getting a little better every day.

And bonus points for rocking the new SCF summer apparel while doing it. 😎

We’re proud of you, Veronica!

It’s the little things.

In our Legends class, we have athletes in their 60s and 70s who show up every week ready to work. One day, Dave noticed Iris struggling to reach the handles on the SkiErg. He didn’t make a big deal about it. He just saw a problem and decided to help.

The very next day, he showed up with these extension clips installed.

That’s what CrossFit is about.

Not just fitness. Not just workouts. Community. Looking after one another. Finding ways to make sure everyone can participate and succeed.

And the best part?

Some of the people using these handles the most now aren’t our Legends—they’re the little ones in our Origins class. ❤️

A simple act of kindness that ended up helping athletes from 3 to 70+.

That’s the kind of community we’re building. 💙

🌱 The community garden is coming in strong! The sun is shining, everything is watered, and it’s amazing to see all the hard work starting to pay off.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed their time, effort, plant and seed donations, and support to help make this possible. This garden is a reflection of what can happen when a community comes together, and we’re excited to watch it continue to grow throughout the season. 🌞🥕🌿

May Committed Club 💙

22 athletes hit 16+ classes in May — amazing work from this crew 👏

Whether you were chasing goals, building momentum, or simply staying consistent, that’s a lot of showing up over the course of a month. We’re proud of everyone who earned their spot in Committed Club.

A special shoutout to Matt Stringer, who made Committed Club for the first time and walked away with the water bottle drawing 🙌 Talk about making an entrance!

And don’t forget — there’s one more month left in the quarter, so keep stacking those classes if you’re working toward Quarterly Committed Club 👀💪

Keep it rolling, Silk City.

Today at Silk City Fit we took on the RAD Global Acid Athletics workout — and what a day it was. 🔥

Busy morning, great energy, and an incredible atmosphere from start to finish. Everyone came ready to work, pushed hard, and absolutely crushed this workout with some seriously impressive times.

This community is amazing and thank you to everyone who came out and gave it everything. Stay tuned… the winners of three new pairs of shoes from will be announced very soon 👀

Little bit of a dizzy POV though 😵‍💫

Nice work to all of our classes yesterday who took on the 20 minute bike test ! Gotta love the circle set up 🤣 Anyone have any ideas who my trivia winners might’ve been?! 🤔

Memorial Day Murph at Silk City Fit. 🇺🇸

This day will always hold such a special meaning to us. Thank you to all 70+ of you that came out today to complete Murph together with us. From 10 weeks old to 75 years young, people of all ages, fitness levels, and walks of life showed up with one shared purpose: honoring the heroes of our nation who gave their lives so we could live ours freely.

This is what makes our community so special. People coming together through fitness to honor something far bigger than ourselves.

Today is about remembering the brave men and women of our uniformed services who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our great nation. May we always remember. May we always honor them. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

HOLY SMOKES 🚨 🥳

One of our Silk City Legends (55+) has mentioned how much she used to love jumping rope as a kid — and how she’d love to be able to do it again someday.

Well… after months of consistently showing up to Legends classes, yesterday’s workout happened to include jump rope ❤️

And wouldn’t you know it — at 65 years old, she was jumping rope again for the first time since she was a young girl 👏

The pride, excitement, and confidence in that moment was incredible to watch. And listen to the group cheering her on!

That’s what this program is about. Not just fitness, but rebuilding confidence, physical capability, and belief in what’s still possible. We are so proud of the environment our Legends classes continue to create 💙
