Truly Grateful - Crowdfunding Loan Update

I am humbled by the generosity of so many people in the global community. I would like to extend my gratitude to each and every one of you! I was a bit hesitant to apply for KIVA at first, but your willingness to invest in the vision of SDW Communications has made all the difference.

Today, one of KIVA's partners is offering a 2X matched loan. A 2X match on as little as a $25 goes even further. Please continue to share with your networks. And I will continue to share my journey with all of you!

In Gratitude,

Shaunte

Can you help support Shaunte? Kiva is a loan, not a donation. With Kiva you can lend as little as $25 and make a big change in someone's life.

Thank you so much REDC!

Crowdfunding Loan

Hey Everyone,

I am grateful to be in the public fundraising phase of my KIVA loan. I have successfully completed the application, review and approval process.

I moved through the personal fundraising phase so quickly without even being aware... I am so grateful for every dollar contributed so far!

KIVA is a no interest, no fee loan. Crowdfunding is a big part of the process. Your network truly becomes your net worth during this phase.

If you can loan as little as $25 it would set me up for success. I only have around 32 days remaining to meet my goal. You are repaid as the loan is paid off.

REDC thank you for endorsing me!! Currently, Capital One is offering 2X Match on your contribution. There is no guarantee when that match will expire.

I am so blessed to have the support of the global community!

As the NH Kiva hub, REDC assisted Shaunte and her business with a Kiva loan application, which is now live and ready for your support!

Based in Manchester, NH, SDW Communications is a public relations and event planning firm that Shaunte launched in 2019 after more than two decades of experience helping individuals and organizations bring their visions to life. This loan will help SDW Communications expand its team, enhance service offerings, and implement stronger marketing and technology systems to serve a broader client base.

Shaunte shares on her Kiva page, "With SDW Communications, I am not just building a business—I am building a legacy rooted in service, empowerment, and sustainable growth. With the right support and investment, I am prepared to scale this vision even further, expanding opportunities for the clients and communities I am so deeply committed to serving."

By lending as little as $25 on Kiva, you can be part of the solution and make a real difference in someone’s life. 100% of every dollar you lend on Kiva goes to funding loans!

In celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and keeping with Seacoast African American Cultural Center (SAACC) tradition, we invite you to join us for the 5th Annual Freedom Walk.

We are grateful to collaborate with SAACC, Black Heritage Trail of NH, Green Acre Bahai', Seacoast NAACP, BLM of NH, North Star American Zion Church and Jukwaa Mazoa Productions to bring to life what is set to be a powerful day of reflection, unity, remembrance, and hope.

The Freedom Walk is more than a community event — it is a living tribute to the generations who fought for liberty, justice, dignity, and the promise of freedom for all. As we gather together, we honor the stories, resilience, and contributions of African Americans whose voices and sacrifices helped shape our nation and continue to inspire change today.

This year’s walk invites community members of all ages and backgrounds to come together in the spirit of solidarity and shared purpose. Through music, fellowship, and collective movement, we will celebrate our history while recommitting ourselves to building a more just and inclusive future.
Whether you are joining for the first time or continuing this tradition with us, your presence matters. Bring your family, friends, neighbors, and walking shoes as we walk together in remembrance, celebration, and community.

Let us move forward together — honoring the past, uplifting the present, and inspiring the future.

**Parking will be available in Portsmouth NH, please see the map in comments for parking recommendations. You will need to crossover the John Paul Jones Memorial Bridge on foot to participate in the walk**

"Bloody Sunday" hit different as I spent the day reflecting on the sacrifices of those who came before me, while taking inventory of how I will be steadfast in moving the needle forward for those behind me.
In January, I had the pleasure of meeting Betty Mae Fikes, affectionately known as the "Voice of Selma". Betty Mae is a dynamic storyteller who weaves spirituals into her narrative, bringing to life the powerful story of her teenage years—when she spent weeks in jail for standing up for voting rights. Her stories of brutality, witnessed firsthand while many others had only seen it on television, pierced my soul.
