This rat and others were entering a 3 family home in Hartford, around the sewer line and in a broken pipe, then into the home through holes in the floor. This one opening I used to monitor the project. The rats have displaced the dirt under the floor leaving a space causing a weak floor. Rats hide their path to be stealthy.

If you've ever had MICE or RATS and didn't do anything about it, you still have them. They don't always make noise, but sometimes sound like raccoons!š. Mice and Rats are active all year coming and going for food or water. Rats can smell dog food through walls and floors, searching for openings to get started, terrorizing your home. Another successful rat eviction in Manchester. A female,several young and this male. Terrorized a couple for a month or two. During the freezing weather they had no water and wanted to stay here. I found water leaks under the sink. Stealing dog food and stashing it. Making beds and tunnels removing wall insulation. All this to keep a secret access to the water. The rats spread plant soil all over the living room floor and furniture. The couple found dog foot in the couch where the rats had made a bedding area and they had to replace their leather sectional.
Other pest control companies came and set some bait boxes and a couple baited set traps with no plan. I got them out in one week with no poison. Just skills Iāve acquired over the years. You have to understand the animalās needs.
