Don’t fall for the styrofoam tile backer systems that are being pushed. They are a cheaper alternative to solid backers. They are a little bit quicker to install but are no where near as strong. With proper waterproofing cement board is substantially stronger. Not too many people will have the experience of demolishing both products to really see how strong they are.

Finishing one bathroom and on to two more.

We just finished a kitchen. These homeowners were unfortunate enough to have their dishwasher leak and flood the kitchen. That started the remodel of most of the house. We installed new cabinets, granite countertops, tiger wood flooring, new carpet throughout and some new lighting. We also painted the handrails and stair treads and installed a new runner.

Two recent bathrooms. I liked the open shelves on the right side of the one shower. It got the customer some storage in a space starved floor plan.
