Welcome to my FB page. This is my new adventure. By profession I am a teacher of vision impaired and blind. By hobby, I enjoy quilting.
I love teaching and especially enjoy teaching Braille reading and writing. I hope to have the opportunity to do even more quilting once I retire. I make all kinds and sizes of quilts from full-size bed covers, wall hangings and table runners to hot pads and coasters. Great weekend at the ZNA Potomac Koi Show. I was able to sell a few quilts table runners/wall hangings. The koi are beautiful and I met some very nice people. Thanks to everyone for their help, support, and encouragement. It was my first experience as a vendor. Thanks again

The Japanese lanterns make me think of the festival I attended many years ago on my trip to Japan. There were colorful lanterns strung all along the streets. It was a colorful, lively, and happy event. The lanterns brings back many happy memories. This could be a narrow wall hanging or a beautiful table runner.

This table runner or wall hanging, depending on how you choose to use it, makes me think of Morrocan tiles. I love the bright colors and the intricate details.

I hope you will join me at this Koi show. I will have a booth with many quilts for sale. This is a new adventure for me and I am looking forward to it. Hope to see you all there. The fish are beautiful and there are quilts for sale as well as other crafts.

Of course, I never stray too far from my love of Asian fabric. These pink lotus flowers are a bright and lively addition that can be used as a wall hanging or as a lap quilt .

I enjoyed the African fabric so much. I ended up making a table runner and a set of four placemats with it. These are completed except for a good pressing and a tiny bit of hand work.

I recently completed this lap quilt or wall hanging. It is made with some hand dyed African fabric. Delightful to work with.
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything. Very successful foot and hip surgery/recovery slowed my quilting down a bit. Also, summer with grandchildren was a very joyful time away from almost everything except having fun with them. Now, I’m back at it at have a few new pictures to share.
