Infrastructure teams are carrying more priorities than they were a few years ago.
AI initiatives.
Security requirements.
Modernization projects.
Cost optimization efforts.
Automation initiatives.
None of those priorities disappeared when the next one arrived. They stacked.
Every priority competes for the same people, the same budget, and the same operational attention. Infrastructure planning starts to change, and projects aren't evaluated only on cost, functionality, or technical merit. Teams also have to think about operational overhead.
Can we support it?
Can we maintain it?
Can we troubleshoot it?
Can we justify the complexity it introduces?
Simplification has become an objective of its own.
Every manual process adds friction.
Every workaround creates future work.
Every unnecessary tool increases the burden on the people responsible for keeping everything running.
Complexity rarely arrives all at once. It accumulates. Then one day, it feels like everything takes longer than it should.
The organizations making the most progress aren't always adding more. Instead, they're spending time removing what no longer serves them.
The goal isn't to eliminate complexity, because it's largely unavoidable. You can stop carrying complexity that no longer provides value.
We're having this conversation with infrastructure teams every day. If it's something your organization is tackling, we'd love to help you work through it.

On Monday, ATS and Galileo were proud to support Simon Says Golf, benefiting the Simon's Heart organization.
Simon’s Heart works to prevent sudden cardiac arrest in children and young adults through education, awareness, and heart screenings that help identify undetected cardiac conditions before tragedy strikes.
The golf tournament brings together supporters, community members, and local organizations around a cause that has a direct impact on families throughout our region.
We're grateful for the opportunity to support the event and contribute to the important work Simon's Heart continues to do every day.

Thanks to Tim Conley for representing ATS and Galileo. Someone had to make sure our sponsorship signs were behaving themselves! 😆

Last week, we talked about the importance of validating hardware sizing decisions with real operational data instead of assumptions.
That conversation has become even more relevant.
When hardware costs are unpredictable, the impact of getting a refresh wrong becomes much greater. Overbuying ties up budget that could be used elsewhere. Underbuying can leave you scrambling at exactly the wrong time.
Neither outcome is ideal.
Long-term infrastructure history can provide a much clearer picture of what's actually happening in your environment: whether growth is sustained or temporary, whether existing capacity is being fully utilized, and whether a planned purchase is truly necessary.
Sometimes the data support the investment. Sometimes it points to a different path.
Either way, the goal is the same: making an informed decision with confidence.
We're happy to review the data with you, talk through the tradeoffs, and provide an objective perspective before a significant hardware investment.

Hardware planning has become a much tougher exercise than it was a few years ago.
Costs have increased. Lead times have stretched. Budgets are under greater scrutiny, and every purchase carries more weight.
One question we encourage clients to ask before committing to a refresh is simple:
Do we know what we actually need, or are we relying on assumptions that have been in place for years?
Using long-term infrastructure data and real-world utilization trends, our team helps organizations make more informed sizing decisions before investing in new hardware. In many cases, that means validating the purchase. In others, it reveals opportunities to delay, consolidate, or size more accurately.
If you're planning a hardware refresh or starting to think about one, we'd be glad to sit down with you, review your environment, and help you make the decision with confidence. https://links.galileosuite.com/43sWggF

Today, ATS Director of Network Services, Brandon Arms, and his team are in DC attending Meter Circuit.
Network infrastructure is undergoing a lot of change. Organizations are balancing growing connectivity demands, security requirements, distributed environments, and limited IT resources, all while trying to keep operations running smoothly.
We're looking forward to hearing how other IT leaders are approaching those challenges, learning more about emerging networking models, and spending time with the Meter team to better understand the platform, operational model, and client experience firsthand.
The more we understand the technologies and approaches shaping the market, the better we can help our clients make informed infrastructure decisions.
If you're attending Meter Circuit DC, we'd love to connect. https://links.galileosuite.com/4xjkBDl

If there's one thing we've observed, it's that every major infrastructure initiative is competing for the same time, expertise, and operational resources.
AI.
Security.
Modernization.
Cost optimization.
Automation.
That's why many organizations are looking for ways to reduce complexity wherever they can.
Every unnecessary process, tool, handoff, and workaround eventually becomes a tax on the team.
We think there's value in spending as much time removing complexity as adding new capability.
That's a conversation we have with organizations every day. Whether the challenge involves infrastructure, networks, automation, monitoring, cloud, or data protection, the goal is often the same: helping teams operate more effectively without adding unnecessary complexity.
If that's something your team is working through, we're always happy to compare notes.

Not every network performance issue originates in the network itself. In AIX environments, inconsistent TCP tunable values can quietly introduce latency, throughput constraints, and unstable application behavior over time.
The challenge is maintaining consistency across systems as environments grow, teams change, and configurations drift.
In this article, we walk through how Zabbix and Event-Driven Ansible can be used to continuously monitor TCP tunables and automatically remediate deviations in real time.
For infrastructure teams focused on operational consistency, scalable administration, and modern network operations, this is a practical example of how automation reduces manual overhead while improving reliability.

Better infrastructure decisions start with better visibility.
As infrastructure teams face increasing pressure to justify cost, manage renewal risk, and plan with greater precision, the right operational metrics matter.
Our Galileo team has released a practical field guide focused on six infrastructure KPIs that help connect performance, utilization, and cost visibility.
For teams working through infrastructure planning, optimization, or cost accountability conversations, it’s a useful resource.

Employee recognition is taking on a sharper focus at ATS & Galileo.
Each recognition period now highlights one of our core company values and celebrates the people who bring it to life through their work.
For this cycle, the focus was Ownership.
Dan was recognized for stepping up as the lead technical SME on a high-visibility proof of concept, coordinating across multiple teams and delivering a successful outcome under demanding timelines, all while maintaining his existing client commitments.
Ownership is about more than accountability. It’s taking responsibility for outcomes, stepping into challenges, and doing what it takes to move important work forward.
Well deserved, Dan! Please join us in congratulating him.
