"First, turn off your activity notifications so your edits aren’t broadcast to your network. Use LinkedIn’s Open to Work feature, but select the option that only shows your interest to recruiters. This is a quiet way to increase visibility to recruiters from outside your organization.

Update your About section to reflect your current and past experience for at least your past two positions. Add bullet points under your current role to showcase skills, responsibilities, and accomplishments.

Go through the job descriptions you're applying for to pull out keywords and sprinkle them in throughout your profile to help show up in recruiter searches.

Also, make sure you have a current professional headshot and detailed headline."

"Unfortunately, ghosting has become more common (up to 75% of job seekers have said they've been ghosted after an interview). Sometimes the role gets paused or closed and no one communicates it.

To try to prevent this, at the end of the interview ask, 'What are next steps and when should I expect to hear back?' Then send a strong thank you email reiterating your interest. A solid thank you note can make you stay top of mind to the hiring manager.
