As we wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, our 6th grade engineers ended STEAM with one final mission before summer break! Students designed and tested devices to rescue “lost backpack items” from a storm drain before vacation takeoff, then put their teamwork skills to the test by guiding blindfolded partners through an obstacle course. Problem-solving, communication, creativity, and lots of laughs made for the perfect final week in STEAM! ☀️🎒🔧
This year has been filled with so many memories — every morning greeting, every announcement, every smile, and every moment shared together. We are so grateful for the students, staff, and families who made this school year such a special one.
A huge congratulations to our 6th grade students as they head off to middle school! We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished and cannot wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you. 🦅❤
To our future 6th graders, we’re excited to spend one more year learning and growing together. And to our incoming 5th grade students, we cannot wait to welcome you to MIS for the 2026–2027 school year!
For now, it’s time to enjoy a well-deserved summer break. ☀️🦅
See you next year!

🎉📚 We are SO proud to have celebrated an incredible accomplishment at MIS this past Friday— our students officially read over 1 MILLION minutes on Beanstack! 🎉📚
To celebrate this huge milestone, students enjoyed an exciting school-wide party filled with inflatables, snow cones, laughter, and lots of fun! One of the biggest highlights of the day was getting the chance to dunk teachers in the dunk tank 🌡💧
Our top 3 readers from each eagle's landing class also earned the honor of pieing the principal — definitely a moment to remember! 🥧👏
We are beyond proud of the hard work, dedication, and love of reading our students showed throughout the year. Thank you to our staff and families for continuing to encourage and support our readers every day. What an amazing way to celebrate such a huge achievement! ❤️📖

📚🦁 Wild about reading! 🦒✨
Students who reached an incredible 6,000+ reading minutes on Beanstack earned a very special reward — a presentation from the Sedgwick County Zoo! 🐾
Our readers had an amazing time learning about animals, conservation, and the important work the zoo does in our community. We are so proud of these students for their dedication to reading and for showing that hard work really does pay off! 💚📖
Way to go, Eagles — keep turning those pages! 🎉📚
