What is climate resilience? 🌍

Climate resilience is the ability to anticipate and respond to hazardous events, trends, or disturbances related to the changing environment, while working to prevent them from getting worse.
These impacts often disproportionately affect low-income communities, reinforcing the need for equitable planning and resource allocation.

Helping prepare communities to be more climate resilient is part of our mission and everyday work here at Slipstream.

As ETIPP’s partner for the Great Lakes region, we understand the local energy landscape, providing ETIPP communities with strategic energy planning and deep-dive technical assistance. We’re prepared to support you every step of the way, including helping you to submit your application to join the program.

One of our key areas of focus is heat pump training, especially growing contractors' knowledge through heat pump collaboratives! ☀️🌀

What is a collaborative, you ask?

A collaborative functions at the state or regional level and enables various organizations to pool their resources and focus, draw on partners' local knowledge and experience, and leverage their foundational research toward a single goal.*

In short, heat pump collaboratives bring many experts together to educate our energy workforce on heat pump technology so they can deliver the best experience to customers.
