ROCK SPRINGS FARM HIT HARD

Brian Bender believes a tornado hit his farm overnight. Thankfully no one was hurt. He has 130 head of cattle that are also unhurt. But the damage is significant.

OVERNIGHT STORM DAMAGE 💨

The first four photos are from just outside Milwaukee Valve in Prairie Du Sac. The company is located near 13th St. and Tower St. A portion of the roof blew off from powerful winds. No injuries reported.

The next set of photos are from Dove Healthcare in Lodi. It’s a nursing home. We are working to see if the facility was evacuated.

We are also waiting for the sun to come up to get a better look at the damage.

VANILLA BEAN CLOSING THIS SUMMER😢

The family-owned baking supply business has been a community staple on the west side of Madison since 1983. But the owners say their rent is increasing significantly and they couldn’t reach an agreement with their landlord. 🥧🍰

They hope to sell the business. If a buyer isn’t found, Vanilla Bean will close June 30th.

I just spoke with the mother of kidnapped American journalist Shelly Kittleson. Kittleson was reported kidnapped while working in Baghdad, Iraq.

The 49-year-old Kittleson is from Mt. Horeb, not Monticello as previously reported. She is a graduate of Darlington High School.

Her mother Barb says she left Wisconsin many years ago to work abroad. She’s been working for roughly 20 years as a journalist.

Barb says she feels “terrible” about her daughter’s kidnapping. The last time she heard from her was in an email she received Monday.

She says Kittleson is not married and does not have children.
