Check out this great article from The Nature Conservancy highlighting one of our first projects using our new Velpont system last year. Dirigo Bridge Company provided both the temporary bridge for construction access and the permanent bridge using the Velpont Bridges system, installed by Sunset Development.
Great to see these projects supporting improved stream crossings and long term environmental resilience for municipalities.

“A guy from Maine.” 🌲🌉
Sometimes innovation doesn’t come from a big lab or a major corporation. It starts with a phone call.
Blaine Miller saw the same problem over and over. Aging crossings, complicated installs, and projects that were harder than they needed to be. So he reached out, shared a vision, and helped spark what became Velpont, a modular bridge system built around real world constructability.
Today Velpont is changing how short span bridges get built. Faster installs, less in stream work, and infrastructure that works with the environment instead of against it.
Not bad for a guy from Maine.
