Your voice is vital in helping us shape future enrollment and determine school attendance boundaries to strengthen MMSD as a destination district for all.

At these sessions, you will:
- Learn why MMSD is conducting a boundary and attendance area review.
- Explore enrollment trends, facility use, and growth projections.
- Understand the process and timeline.
- View draft boundary scenarios and share your perspectives.

🎓 Want to earn college credit while you’re still in high school?

MMSD students can apply for dual enrollment programs that allow them to take college-level courses and earn credits while completing their high school education: the Early College Credit Program (ECCP) and Start College Now (SCN).

🏆 Wisconsin’s #1 School District for National Merit Semifinalists

MMSD is leading the state again — with 37 students named 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalists, more than any other school district in Wisconsin.

And West High School leads every individual high school in the state, with 25 semifinalists. 🎓

These students earned this distinction through their performance on the PSAT/NMSQT — the test that serves as the first step toward National Merit recognition and scholarship opportunities.

A new year has officially started here at Capital High! More MMSD students are challenging themselves through Advanced Placement (AP) courses and exams, nearly 1,000 students earned AP Scholar recognition in 2025–26! 📚✨

Over the past five years:
📈 48% increase in students taking at least one AP exam
📈 84% increase in the number of AP exams taken
⭐ 955 students earned an AP Scholar designation in 2025–26
🎓 Student performance continues to improve, with more students earning scores of 3 or higher.

🌟 What do the AP Scholar recognitions mean?
🏅 AP Scholar — 339 students
Earned scores of 3 or higher on at least three AP exams.

🏅 AP Scholar with Honor — 177 students
Earned an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on at least four exams.

🏅 AP Scholar with Distinction — 439 students
Earned an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on at least five exams.

These achievements represent the incredible hard work, dedication and academic growth of our students, along with the support of their educators and families. 💙

Yesterday Capital High welcomed our Royals, both new and old, back into our building! Students and staff went through their classes in the morning and then spent the afternoon connecting. We are so happy to have our Royals back! It's going to be a great year!
