A BIG shoutout to our Facilities Team on National Custodial Workers Day!

Today, we want to take a moment to say a BIG thank you to Mr. Tracy and Mr. Douglas! They faithfully serve our school each day, working behind the scenes to keep HPCS clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for learning.

So much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but their hard work makes a tremendous difference in our school community. We are so grateful for the care, dedication, and pride they bring to HPCS each day!

Wow, Eagles, you really made a difference! During our recent food drive, our school collected an incredible 1,008 pounds of food to donate to Wayforward Resources!

WayForward Resources works to create food security and housing stability by providing nutritious food to people throughout Middleton, Cross Plains, West Madison and throughout Dane County. Our donations will help provide food for families in our community who may be facing difficult times. What an amazing way to put our faith into action! The Bible reminds us in Hebrews 13:16, “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

Thank you to every student, family, and staff member who donated. 1,008 pounds is an incredible accomplishment, and together we are making a difference in our community! WayForward Resources

Prayer doesn’t have to mean sitting quietly with hands folded. Sometimes, we can pray as we walk, noticing God’s creation and turning our hearts toward Him. Have you ever tried a fall prayer walk?

Our 7th-grade houses each had a specific prayer focus to look for as they walked and found the correct color. What a meaningful way to put faith into practice—using the beauty of creation as a reminder of God and making space to talk with Him.

As Psalm 19:1 reminds us, “The heavens declare the glory of God.” 🍁💛

What a beautiful way to get outside, enjoy God’s creation, and connect with Him through prayer!

Today is Go Orange Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness of food insecurity in our community. 🧡

We’re so excited to see so many of our students wearing orange and helping shine a light on this important issue. Their participation, along with our annual food drive, is a wonderful reminder of the power of coming together to support others in our community.

Today marks the first day of our food drive in coordination with Hunger Action Month!

Food may be brought in today - Friday, October 2nd.

Some of the most needed items are as follows: Beans (canned or dry), cereal, oatmeal, canned vegetables and fruit, peanut butter, canned chicken or tuna, soups, stews, and pasta.

Yesterday our 2nd graders celebrated one of our favorite yearly traditions…Johnny Appleseed Day!

Did you know Johnny Appleseed’s real name was John Chapman? Born in Massachusetts in 1774, he became known for traveling across the American frontier planting apple trees and sharing apple seeds with settlers. He lived a simple life and was also known for his strong Christian faith and his desire to share God’s Word with others.

As we learned about his life, we were reminded that God can use one person’s simple acts of faithfulness to bless others for generations. Just like a tiny apple seed can grow into a great tree, small acts of kindness, generosity, and faith can make a lasting difference. 🌱❤️

We capped off our week with another Fall Family Fun Night! 🍂✨

We’re so thankful for our High Point school community and all of the wonderful HPCS families who make nights like these so special. What a gift to have a beautiful evening together—building connections, sharing laughter, and celebrating our community!

Our first graders had a very special hands-on learning experience! One of our students brought in a chrysalis, and the class had the opportunity to watch as it changed and developed into a beautiful butterfly.

After patiently observing its transformation, the students released the butterfly into the wild so it could begin its next adventure!

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for See You at the Pole! It was a beautiful time of coming together to pray for our schools, students, teachers, families, and community.
