Hey Madison. Many of you know but some of you might not that our kitchen is on Baldwin Street 2 blocks from the intersection where Corey Ruiz tragically and senselessly lost his life. I also want to share that my home is directly on Williamson St a block away. My family is here, I raised my kids here. I weep for the lost potential of Corey Ruiz and I am devastated for the family he left behind.
We’ll be at the square in the morning but packing up early to allow our community to gather. Please come early and support the hardworking farm families that pay their bills with the money they earn at the market. Love you Madison even when times are hard.

In and out of the kitchen short takes for your enjoyment. Sunrise. Staff lunches with fried Simple Soyman tofu on soba noodles, kimchi & eggs for breakfast many days (great on a bagel btw), my favorite daycare buddies slamming asiago bagels at the Wednesday market with their superhero caretaker Angie, some garlic I picked up at the market. Regeneration Farm rainbow of cherry tomatoes and incredible greens. We’ll have fresh market bialys & scones tomorrow and all the bagel and maaaaaaaybe blueberries cornbread. We’ll be bringing all the summer to the Northside Farmers Market Sunday morning at 8:30. Here comes the weekend Madison! There’s so much going on the Fete de Marquette, the Art Fair, and you know what makes all those things more fun? I’ve been lollygagging posting Madison family but some important changes this week:
7/11 Sat Preorders only! We have sone blueberry bagels up for grabs cinnamon raisin too as well as Meyer Lemon 🍋 Curd Cream Cheese and a few Cheddar Jalapeño cream cheeses.
7/12 Sun we are BACK at our old home the Northside Farmers Market in front of W***y Coop North and we can’t wait!

A lot of you already know this but I had a sweet little farm to fork cafe for about 12 years. Our most popular sandwich was the Oh Mighty Isis or OMI for the regulars. I think this might be the first time in almost 10 years I had the urge to recreate it in a bagel version. Can you spot which one is completely vegan?) The Mermaid Kitchen crew enjoyed these for staff lunch today (eggs, cheddar, tomato, avocado and coconut curry aioli). Also at the end we are almost done testing a new bagel can you guess what it is?
