September is Su***de Prevention Month
A time to raise greater awareness of the resources available to Soldiers, Civilians, and Family members who may need crisis support or who want to help someone they know.
The Armyโs 2025 theme is: โWe Are Stronger Together. Connect to Protect.โ This message highlights how strong, positive relationships can counter su***de risk. Staying connected builds belonging, encourages healthy coping, and creates the support network we all need in difficult times.
๐ค Connect and reconnect, it could be a simple call or text that saves a life.
If you or someone you know is in crisis, please dial 988.

๐บ๐ธ 646th RSG Welcomes New Commander ๐บ๐ธ
In a proud Army tradition, the 646th Regional Support Group marked a new chapter in leadership during its Change of Command ceremony at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
Hosted by Brig. Gen. Clint A. Barnes, Commanding General of the 103d Expeditionary Sustainment Command, the ceremony honored Col. Robert D. Hegland for his outstanding service and leadership, guiding the 646th through missions that supported nearly 20,000 mobilizing and demobilizing Soldiers, operations at Fort Hood, Texas, and the multinational African Lion exercise.
In the honor of passing of the colors, the unit officially welcomed Col. Frank C. Taylor, a combat veteran with over 29 years of service and recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. Col. Taylor pledged to continue building on the unitโs legacy, mastering the tradecraft, and living by the belief: โMission first, people always.โ
This ceremony was more than a change in leadership. It was a celebration of excellence, tradition, and the Soldiers who make the 646th mission possible.

๐ A New Chapter for the 377th Support Maintenance Company! ๐
Last week, we proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of the newly renovated Staff Sgt. Andrew Miller Army Reserve Center in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. This historic facility, first dedicated in 1961, has supported generations of Army Reserve Soldiers and now stands ready to serve the next generation with state-of-the-art upgrades.
Named in honor of Staff Sgt. Andrew Miller, a Manitowoc native and Medal of Honor recipient whose heroic actions in WWII inspire us to this day, the center now features expanded classrooms, modernized arms and equipment storage, a full kitchen, fitness facilities, and dedicated spaces to support all Soldiers and their families.
The 377th Support Maintenance Company, along with our partners in the 88th Readiness Division, 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) will use this modernized space to continue our mission of readiness, adaptability, and excellence.
A heartfelt thank you to our military leadership, engineers, local and federal partners, and the City of Manitowoc for your steadfast support. Together, we ensure this reserve center remains a place of purpose, pride, and readiness for decades to come.
