Motherhood is one of the most talked about experiences in the world. And still, so many mothers are carrying things they were never given words for.

Your story matters. And sharing it can help shape the kind of care and resources that reach mothers in our community.

The Anesis Foundation is hosting a Motherhood Community Conversation on June 29th at 6pm for pregnant and postpartum mothers with children under the age of 3.

Participants will receive a $100 stipend for their time. Food, transportation, and childcare will also be provided.

Our Community is Grieving. We Are Here to Help.

This week, our community experienced a tremendous loss with the passing of Michael Johnson from the Boys & Girls Club. Many individuals, families, youth, and community members are hurting and navigating grief during this difficult time.

At Anesis Therapy, we believe that healing does not happen in isolation, it happens in community. We heal by sharing our stories, leaning on one another, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported. During times of loss, it is important to remember that you do not have to carry your grief alone.

Our Drop-In Clinics are available for anyone who needs support, a listening ear, or help processing their grief.

A diagnosis shapes everything that comes after it. And when bias is built into the diagnostic process, whole communities end up with the wrong treatment, the wrong medication, and more reasons not to trust the system.

Misdiagnosis in BIPOC communities is directly rooted in how clinicians are trained and how diagnostic tools were developed.

Everyone deserves mental health care that sees them accurately.

"Just go to therapy" sounds like support. But it ignores what makes therapy hard to access in the first place.

Mental health advocacy has to include that systems conversation, not just encourage individuals to seek help that isn't always there, affordable, or safe.

The "put down your phone" advice sounds simple. But it skips over the people who can't afford to log off.

For a lot of folks, their phone is how they find jobs, access healthcare, stay connected to family.

The goal is building a life where technology works for you, not against you.

That looks different depending on who you are and what you're working with.

We've gotten so used to being busy that busyness has become the thing we bond over.

Community was never supposed to be something you get to after everything else is done.

It's the thing that keeps you well while you're doing everything else. This is your reminder to show up for people with no agenda.
