Please join us in welcoming and congratulating Patrolman Michael Ramos #173 who was officially sworn in at last nights council meeting after successfully graduating from the police academy last week.

Throughout his academy training, Patrolman Ramos demonstrated exceptional dedication, discipline, and determination. In recognition of his hard work, he was awarded both the Physical Fitness Award and the Morris County 200 Club Award.

We are proud to welcome Patrolman Ramos to the Madison Police Department family and look forward to watching him begin his law enforcement career serving the residents of Madison.

Congratulations, Patrolman Ramos, on your graduation and these well-deserved honors. Welcome to the team!!

What took place today was about so much more than a run. It was about community, inclusion, and supporting the incredible athletes of Special Olympics. The smiles on the faces of the kids today as they crossed the finish line reminded us exactly why this event is so important. Those moments are what it’s all about.

A special thank you goes out to the teachers and students who joined us on the route and helped make this year’s run such a memorable success. Your enthusiasm, energy, and support meant the world to us.

We are also grateful to the residents, families, and businesses who cheered us on along the way. Madison once again showed what makes this community so special.

🏃‍♂️🔥 Today members of the Madison Police Department are proud to once again participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of the New Jersey Special Olympics!

The Madison leg of the Torch Run is expected to begin between 10:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m from the Madison High School. Runners will travel down Central Avenue, onto Brittin Street, through the Madison Junior School, then continue along Main Street, Prospect Street, and Kings Road before finishing at the Hartley Dodge Memorial Building (50 Kings Road) between approximately 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

We invite our residents, businesses, and community members to come out along the route and show their support for our runners and, most importantly, the incredible athletes of Special Olympics. Your cheers and encouragement truly help make this event special.

The Madison PBA is proud to once again participate in the 2026 Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run happening on Friday, June 5th!

This year, our officers will be joined by teachers from the Madison School District, members of the Fire Department, and local elected officials as we come together to support an incredible cause that changes lives every single day.

The Torch Run represents far more than just a run — it’s a show of unity, inclusion, and support for the athletes of Special Olympics, who continue to inspire us all through their determination, courage, and heart.

Please join us in congratulating Patrolman DiLandro and Captain Longo on successfully completing the 2026 Police Unity Tour ride to Washington, D.C.

Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to honoring the fallen embody the true spirit of law enforcement and service. We are proud to have them represent the Rose City once again as they rode and accompanied thousands of officers from across the country in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Thank you both for your hard work, determination, and for continuing the longstanding tradition of Madison officers participating in the Unity Tour since its inception in 1997. Welcome home and congratulations on another successful ride! 🇺🇸🚴‍♂️

Patrolman DiLandro will once again represent the Rose City on the bike, participating in the ride for his third consecutive year. Madison officers have proudly taken part in the Unity Tour since its inception in 1997.

As we close out the year, the PBA would just like to take a moment to recognize Patrolman Vincent DiLandro, who was voted by his colleagues as the 2025 Officer of the Year. His leadership and dedication, along with the incredible work alongside Squad Delta, made this a year to remember. Thank you for your service and commitment to excellence. Congratulations Vin!
