Earlier this month, an elderly woman in her 70s walked into our store overwhelmed and discouraged. She was permanently relocating to Helsinki, Finland and needed to ship 6 boxes — nearly 300 lbs of a lifetime’s worth of personal belongings — across the Atlantic. She had shopped other shipping store’s and was quoted over $10,000 everywhere she went, and was expected to bring all the boxes in herself.

When she came to us, our expertise in international shipping meant we could offer her significantly better rates and a true door to door service — we drove to her home, loaded every single box ourselves, brought everything back to the store, reinforced the packaging for the long international journey, and spent hours carefully preparing a detailed customs declaration across all 80 items so her belongings would clear Finnish customs smoothly without a single unexpected charge on the other end.

Her boxes left our store on Monday May 18th. They arrived at her door in Helsinki ten days later — door to door, across the Atlantic. ✅
