ANNOUNCING: the winners of our Kwik Trip Innovation Competition!

These three students each created and presented a marketing plan for a new product to be sold in Kwik Trip stores, and went above and beyond to demonstrate their innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.

Wisconsin Business World – a program of WMC Foundation – educates students on business, entrepreneurism, and the free market through its statewide competitions, Summer Camps, one-day programs, online curriculum, and classroom presentations. The Business World message is simple: Business is a Force for Good.

We have been on the road with a full programming schedule! In February alone, we were able to engage with 1,332 middle and high school students from over 25 different schools.

Through collaboration with schools, educators, and regional partners, these programs provided students with early exposure to entrepreneurship, networking, leadership skills, and business education pathways.

We want to give a very special thanks to SC Johnson, A Family Company, InSinkErator, Georgia-Pacific, Plexus Corp., CESA #4, and CESA #11 for making the month so fantastic and impactful!

On Monday, out team was at CESA 1 with over 100 eighth-grade students for a regional MINI Business World.

Students from Butler, Horning, and Saratoga STEM middle schools developed fantastic products like Gamafire, a product that scans books and turns them into video games.

These 8th grade students calculated their annual company budgets, found their target markets, marketing budgets, built prototypes, and presented their business plans like real business leaders.

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to create a new product for Kwik Trip Convenience Stores and submit a presentation featuring the product idea and including target market, price point and marketing ideas.

Earlier this month, we had the privilege of presenting an engaging, high impact workshop to more than 600 students at the FBLA Fall State Leadership Conference at the Chula Vista in Wisconsin Dells.

With a goal of enhancing employability skills, students we lead through a Myers Briggs personality assessment to self-identify their personality types and then were asked to practice their networking skills by finding others with their same type. Students left the workshop understanding the importance of knowing your strengths and building a team with others who may see the world with a different lens.

We had a fantastic time at the BEcoMe IT Conference in Wausau last week, meeting Business Education, Marketing Education, and Information Technology teachers from across the state of Wisconsin.

We were proud to share the mission (and opportunities!) of Wisconsin Business World!

We kicked off the 2025-26 school year with the first MINI of the year in Medford. Seventy-five students from Colby, Owen-Withee, Medford, Marathon, Abbotsford and Prentice participated in the regional program. The winning “companies” created innovative projects like the Safe Plate, a food scanner that detects allergens right off the plate and NewMASKera, a facemask that automatically applies a full face of makeup for you.
