Ok, friends.. This was a hard one. Due to the soggy forecast, PILOT will not be playing at the Painted Bikini Show today 💔. Yeah, this really sucks 😞.. We struggled with this decision, as this event is so close to our hearts. Nahh, we don't mind getting a little wet 🌧.. but I can't say as much for our gear. There WILL be music, however. Jim and the Sunset Bar and Grill team have lined up a rockin' DJ.. AND a huge party tent for you all! Rain or shine - this show is ON! Don't miss it! 💗.. (PLUS, the $5 cover goes to the Jefferson County Cancer Coalition 🎗.. Let's show some love!) .. We had an absolutely BLAST in Columbus, last night! Thanks to ALL who joined us in celebrating the 4th, and America's 250th birthday 🫶(We love you!). Special thanks to Max Andler for bringing us on board, to Tory (event organizer), Dominic (production).. and to the whole team for rockin' a happy crowd all night long! 🎶❤️🤍💙 (Fireworks were amazing!)~ So much summer fun and music all around, this weekend. Good afternoon, friends. This is coming a bit late; in fact, I told my bandmates that I’d post on Pilot's behalf, well over a week ago. I honestly tried, but I just couldn’t find the words in a broken heart. I’d hoped the extra days would help… it hasn’t. Here it goes, just the same. Eddie.. you brought such a magic and beautiful energy to every show. You were the center of so much love, laughter and joy. I know that I can safely speak for SO many fellow Madison musicians, when I say.. with so much talent in the area, when Eddie announced his “colors” for the night – and that he was going to YOUR gig.. well, it was pretty special. You not only became a part of our musical family, but a dear friend. There will be such a void now, though I know you’ll be with us in spirit. Still, I just know that we’ll all be looking at that dance floor, waiting to see that bling, that hat..and those incredible flashing shoes. You danced your way into so many hearts. I’m so honored to have called you friend and to have gotten to know you on life’s journey. They say we grieve for ourselves, when a loved one passes… In this case, maybe it’s true. I say this because you clearly lived your life to the fullest, and there’s no doubt that you’re dancing with your dear wife, somewhere beautiful. We love you, Fast Eddie Bailey. Always… always in our hearts.
