We love the medical education circle of life - like when our students are taught by our alumni! It’s great seeing WARMies Spencer Treu, MD ‘23 showing rising M4 Amelia Thompson “the ropes” - and showing his son the paddling!
Happy summer, all!

We are proud of our school in providing thorough training on the critically important social determinants of health as part of our curriculum - and proud of MSTP student Naa Asheley Ash*tey for so eloquently - and personally - writing about its consequence. Thank you for your advocacy, Naa (full OpEd in link below).

Cheers to Greta Kuphal, MD ‘06 and director of the Osher Center for Integrative Health within the UW Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. As the Osher Center nears its fifth anniversary, a new $2 million grant from the Osher Foundation is advancing the center’s long-term stability.
“My hope is that we continue to be a strong, coordinated center that supports whole health within the health system and the community. If we can be a nucleus for collaboration around promoting whole person health — not just finding and treating disease — that would be a meaningful measure of success.”
