What happens when artists treat human perception as the medium itself?

In our latest CODAzine feature, six artists — Ivan Toth Depeña, TRANSVERSAL Studio, Benjamin Langholz, Omar Gomez Gonzalez, Hugo Laliberte, and Refik Anadol — are doing exactly that. Their work spans laser sculptures, immersive LED environments, retroreflective installations, and data-driven infinity rooms. The through line: light used not just as material, but as a direct pathway into the mind.

From touring interactive installations to site-specific works exploring melting ice, collective consciousness, and the edge of the visible, this is commissioned art at its most expansive.
