Social Innovation and Sustainability Leadership Graduate Program Co-creating Wellbeing for All

The Dean of the School of Nursing, Business, and Health Sciences, which is where the SISL Program was placed (quite inappropriately, in my view) during the College's restructuring in 2019-20, has confirmed that the Social Innovation & Sustainability Graduate Program has been terminated.

Despite efforts by those most familiar with SISL (including the external Advisory Board) to prevent it, in 2021 the new leadership of SISL changed the curriculum and began offering the program totally online, which (not unexpectedly for those familiar with the program's history and fundamental principles) did not pan out.

I am sorry, in so many ways, for this.

FYI - As a result of major organizational changes throughout the College, Edgewood's Social Innovation and Sustainability Leadership Program has been under new direction since 2020-21. Although it is not apparent from the information provided on the College website, the current program being offered under the SISL name is sadly not the program that received institutional approval as a Graduate Certificate in 2010 and as a Master's program in 2015.

"Because climate is connected to everything we love, it is also connected to all the classes we teach."

Edgewood College's SISL program is on life support, and this article strikes a dissonant chord.
"...disaster capitalism for higher education."
