🐾 Ivy graduated her left TPLO today! 🎓🦴 She’s on her way back to doing what she loves most — 🐿️ squirrel hunting, 🐦 birdwatching, and 🚶‍♀️ long walks! 💕

🎉 Please help us welcome Dr. Merkatoris to the Edinger Surgical Options team! 🎉

🐾 Dr. Merkatoris is the newest member of our team and brings extensive experience in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, independent case management, and clinical service leadership. Over the next several months, he will be working closely with Dr. Eby as he transitions into our practice.

🎓 Dr. Merkatoris earned both his Bachelor's degree and DVM from the University of Wisconsin. He then completed an internship in Greeley, Colorado, followed by a surgical residency at Iowa State University. After completing his residency, he remained at Iowa State as a Clinical Assistant Professor before joining the University of Wisconsin as an Assistant Teaching Professor.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Outside of work, Dr. Merkatoris lives in Waunakee with his wife, Katie, an ER veterinarian, and their three children. He enjoys spending time with his family and loves introducing his kids to his favorite hobbies, including 🥾 hiking and 🔨 garage projects.

🐾 Mavis has officially graduated from her left TPLO! 🎉💖 She’s so happy to be able to run, play, and enjoy the outdoors again! 🌳🐕☀️

Sam had a right TPLO eight weeks ago 🦴🐾 and has officially been given the all clear ✅🎉 She can’t wait to get back to hiking 🥾🌲 and playing tug-o-war 🪢🐕 and chase 🎾💨. At almost 13 years old 🎂🐶, don’t let her age fool you — she’s still bursting with puppy-like energy ⚡🐾💛
