UB Draws

It's been a while. It might continue to be a while, but I'm glad to check in with you all. These are my beautiful muses, Happy and Grumpy (my cats). I have a couple projects I've bothered to record, but no narrations to go with them yet. I've been very sick (first the flu, then Covid, now slowly recovering) all spring. Here's to hoping I can get healthy and make a new video!

In the meantime, I've been volunteering my time with and some friends' marketing endeavors.

This is a look at the tagging & pricing process of a small business.

Every brick-and-mortar space I get my items into has a different inventory system. Sometimes, I have to handle labelling my products to accommodate that and sometimes the business has a UPC code printer and does the majority of the work for me. Either way, every item needs a tag. It needs the correct tag. It needs to be folded or displayed in just the right way for my customer.

This is all done by hand. It's a lot of work, but it's important and I do it during downtime - while watching TV or chatting with family. It's invisible work, but important work.

When my mom showed me these grippy jar openers, it was revolutionary. I love using these on pickle jars, jams, and even my modge podge canisters when they get a little too stuck to handle! This is the perfect tool to keep for sticky situations in your kitchen and/or workshop - any lid that needs opening, it's there for.

I don't usually make fan art, but I was sick for most of February and watched a lot of and .pearlmania500 while I was recovering. I got confirmation that the pieces were received and I'm so glad they were enjoyed!

Thank you so much for the silly commentary you supply to the world, Mr. & Mrs. P! I really enjoyed making these pieces for you (even if it's hard to figure out where to put fan art in your home) and the pieces have done their job if they made you & your family smile.

Cross your fingers for me! 🤞 Whether you call it a tent, a canopy, a gazebo, or something else... This piece of equipment travels to almost every show with me and, as such, has caused me the most headaches.

The canopy I've been using for the past 3 years barely made it past year 1. I had to buy and modify some plastic bed raisers to make it tall enough for most people. It leaks when it's wet outside. The feet have bent and warped. The walls never fit all the way around in case of inclement weather. I had to buy pool noodles for each corner to keep water from pooling when it rains.

I'm so grateful for this piece of equipment that floated me through my first 3+ years of craft/art shows. At the same time, I'm ready & excited to move on.

Fingers crossed this new canopy is more functional!! New show announcements to come soon!
