We are excited to share with you the trails that are being blazed by WROF, Inc. scholarship recipients, including Ariah who is majoring in Environmental and Public Health at UW-Eau Claire. At first, Ariah wasn't sure what she wanted to study at UW-Eau Claire. By her second year, after taking classes focussed on environmental science and public health and joining the Student Office of Sustainablility - Ariah writes that she has found her passion! A cultural immersion program led by UW-Eau Claire faculty in Helsinki, Finland and Tallinn, Estonia introduced Ariah to sustainable societies that prioritizes public and environmental health. Ariah writes, "This was not only an extraordinary experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life, but it also introduced a variety of methods that make incorporating sustainable aspects into everyday life achievable."
Keep up the good work, Ariah!
