Cienna writes: "When I return to rural Wisconsin after graduation, I hope to be able to educate those in my community about the risks of heat illness, shock, sprains and fractures, concussions, and traumatic brain injuries when playing sports even in everyday life. Although athletics are entertaining and fun for kids, there are injuries that can occur especially in spring and summer sports like football, tennis, and soccer. These injuries are life altering if they aren't treated seriously."

Here's one from Roselynn, a high school student who attended Summer Science Camp at the Morgridge Institute for Research on the UW-Madison campus. These weeklong camps help rural Wisconsin students learn hands-on science and ignite their passion for science, technology, engineering and math. WROF, Inc. is pleased to support programs like this that help rural students reach their full potential.

With help from a WROF, Inc. scholarship, Tammy is heading to UW-Platteville this fall to begin her dream of becoming a large animal veterinarian and one day, opening her own veterinary clinic.

Growing up on his family farm in Marshfield, WI, and caring for the animals, preserving the land, and raising healthy crops has shaped Carson’s love of the outdoors and his determination to protect Wisconsin’s natural resources. This fall, he heads to UW-Stevens Point to begin his dream of becoming a Conservation Officer.

Emily Zemke is one of seven WROF, Inc. Premier Scholars. She will be heading to UW-River Falls this fall to begin her career path in becoming a large animal veterinarian in rural Wisconsin.

Storm is one of seven WROF, Inc. 2026 Premier Scholars this year, with her scholarship is sponsored by Rural Mutual Insurance Company. This fall, she is heading to the Southwest Wisconsin Technical College (SWTC) to earn a degree in Agribusiness.

Staying local will allow Storm to continue working on her family’s farm. Throughout high school, Storm has been able to get a head start on her post-secondary education through dual-credit classes offered at SWTC. Storm is excited to learn innovative growing techniques and sustainable practices that will help her contribute to the future of agriculture.
