The creativity, skill, and ingenuity of Dane County Artists is remarkable!

Today we are excited to share the work of Misty Cole , an artist who works primarily in fiber. Cole grew up in rural Louisiana, lived in Maryland for 17 years and is now lives in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin where she is exploring the Midwest with her husband and two sons.

Misty Cole came to quilting as a painter and has been exploring art quilting as her main medium for over twenty years. She combines traditional techniques like hand applique and hand quilting with a contemporary aesthetic and sense of humor.

Looking for a little road trip? You can see a stunning display of 35 aviation themed art quilts created by Misty Cole at her solo show, “The Sky’s the Limit,” on view now at the Kelch Aviation Museum in Brodhead, WI through December 2026. ✈️

LunART is seeking a Digital Marketing and Social Media Coordinator to join its team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing LunART’s Instagram and Facebook profiles, strategizing how to expand LunART’s online presence, and creating comprehensive campaigns to drive earned revenue as we work to make LunART a hub for women’s voices in contemporary music.

We’re looking for a marketer who is self-motivated, proactive, and able to complete projects in a timely manner. This role will work directly with the LunART team each week and report to the CEO and Development & Operations Manager.

📣 Arts Board is hiring for the IS Resources Support Tech-Senior (aka Grants and Information Specialist) position.

The Wisconsin Arts Board is the state agency which nurtures creativity, cultivates expression, promotes the arts, supports the arts in education, stimulates community and economic development and serves as a resource for people of every culture and heritage.

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of the Arts Board, this position is responsible for the Arts Board’s database collection systems and serves as 1st level IT support and liaison for agency information technology systems (software and hardware). Responsibilities include the development of training and procedures to standardize input and processing of agency data; coordination of the web-based grant application system, and award process in relation to the grant cycle calendar utilizing research methods and evaluation techniques; participation in relevant computer work groups, training sessions, informational resource workshops and other professional activities. This position is currently also responsible for much of the agency’s accounting and procurement duties. Finally, this position staffs the board’s Accessibility Committee.

Have a Seat, It's Just Over the Horizon is a group exhibition that speaks to themes of hope and gathering, not only through the individual narratives told but through the collective efforts of a group of real friends coming together to make art, stir change, and build community. These artists regularly work together and/or body double in work spaces, building a collective influence on each other and their work. This show is the culmination of showing up, finding your people, sharing love and making things happen for the collective betterment.
