I officially started my Wisconsin Horticulture - Extension Wisconsin Master Gardener certification course today. Excited to get started and keep learning and growing.

I read this somewhere today and it’s very fitting:

“In a few years it won’t matter how long it took you to reach the goal(s). You’ll just be so grateful you kept going and that you never gave up, you’ll be so proud of the person you’ve become in the process.”

What’s one of your favorite summer annuals to grow?

Each year I’ve been adding more Vermillionaire or Large Firecracker Plant from Proven Winners. It’s a Cuphea that hummingbirds love and I’ve been adding more each summer to keep our Ruby-throated Hummingbirds happy. They will stop by for visits all day long so I like to plant this in baskets and containers and put it next to our feeders as well. Give the little zoomers a party every day.
