The City of Madison Parks Division will hold the second meeting for the replacement of the playground at Portland Park on Tuesday, January 28 at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held virtually and residents can register via the link on the project website (https://www.cityofmadison.com/parks/projects/portland-park-playground-improvements). At the meeting, staff will present two playground design options which have been prepared based on feedback received at the initial meeting.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the process and how you can be get involved in helping to shape the future of the South-East side of Madison.

Madison Parks will upgrade the playground equipment in two District 3 park playgrounds in 2025, for Portland Park in the Rolling Meadows neighborhood and Kennedy Park in the Heritage Heights neighborhood.
The Parks Division will hold an initial online workshop focusing on several park playgrounds for residents and park users to learn and share ideas. The workshop will include a larger group discussion and will then break out into smaller sessions to address design considerations related to each park's playground.
The workshop will be online and members of the public will be asked to register to receive a meeting link via email. The workshop is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 6:00 pm.
Postcards advertising the online workshop will be mailed to addresses within ΒΌ mile of each park. Following the playground workshop, Parks staff will schedule separate playground meetings with the respective neighborhoods to finalize the playground design.
Potential Sale of Dream Lanes
The current owner/ operator Robin will continue management of the business if the sale goes through.
There is a public meeting taking place to answer an of the neighborhoods questions about this change.

Movie In The Park- Next week Wed August 7th 6:30pm the city of Madison Park Department is hosting a free movie in the park at McGinnis Park.
This is not a neighborhood association run event as this was planned by the city and we are just now finding out about the event.
