It’s that time of year again, the Engineers Without Borders UW-Madison Banquet is coming up fast!!

Banquet is a formal evening where we come together to celebrate our projects, recognize the work our teams have done this year, and spend time with the people who support EWB. The night includes a plated dinner, student presentations, and time to socialize with other EWB members and sponsors.

We especially encourage you to bring family and friends outside of EWB! This is a great opportunity for them to see what you’ve been working on and meet the people involved in the organization.

Students who have paid EWB dues receive a large student member discount utilizing the code: EWBSTUDENTMEMBER2026

Students who have not paid dues, as well as student guests outside of EWB, are eligible for a discounted ticket utilizing the code: STUDENTGUEST2026

Tickets and donation options are available here: https://support.ewb-usa.org/event/university-of-wisconsin-madison-chapter-ewb-uw-madison-banquet/e743019

2025 Banquet!

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers and donors who attended the event and have supported our project. Our project wouldn’t exist without the all the time and effort of our student and professional engineers. And congratulations to Alberto for winning mentor of the year! We’re so proud of you!

For the past few years, we’ve been partnered with ID Shaliah to design a solar power system for their community center. The solar panels are designed to make the community center more self reliant, especially in the event of a hurricane or other natural disaster.

A few weeks ago, several members of our team took a trip to Puerto Rico to visit our project for ID Shaliah.

All of the solar panels are now up and functioning better than we hoped, and the team had a great time getting to our project in action.

We all had a wonderful time working with ID Shaliah and grateful that our project was so successful.
