What to Expect During & After Dry Needling ✨
Thinking about trying dry needling? Here's what you can expect:
✔️ The treatment is quick — a dry needling session typically lasts 2–5 minutes.
✔️ Some discomfort is normal — you may feel a brief pinch or muscle twitch as the needles are inserted. This is often a sign that the targeted muscle is responding.
✔️ Post-treatment soreness is common — many patients experience muscle soreness afterward that feels similar to what you'd notice after a good workout. This soreness usually resolves within 24–48 hours.
✔️ Stay hydrated and keep moving — gentle movement and drinking plenty of water can help minimize soreness and support recovery.
Dry needling is designed to reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, and help you get back to doing what you love with less pain.
Have questions about whether dry needling is right for you? We'd be happy to help! 💙

🎯 What is Dry Needling?
Dry needling is a highly effective technique used to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve movement. It works by inserting thin acupuncture needles directly into myofascial trigger points (commonly known as "muscle knots") to stimulate the body's natural healing response.
✨ BENEFITS OF DRY NEEDLING:
• 🎯 Interrupts the pain cycle
• 💪 Helps tight muscles relax and release tension
• 🧠 Stimulates a neurological response that reduces pain
• 🔥 Encourages the body to naturally decrease inflammation
• 🤸 Improves mobility, flexibility, and function
• ⚡ Accelerates recovery and healing!
Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, sports injuries, or muscle tightness, dry needling can be a valuable tool to help you move and feel better!
It’s not just about posture — it’s about development.
When kids spend long periods hunched over screens, it can affect far more than their spine.
🤔Think: core strength, balance, focus, emotional regulation, and even breathing.
Because posture is more than just how we stand — it’s how we function.
💊In medications, wheat and corn are primarily used as "inactive" ingredients like binders, fillers, and coatings. While corn is usually gluten-free, some people are sensitive to corn derivatives, and wheat contains gluten. Both grains go by several technical and processed names on ingredient labels.
🌾Wheat & Gluten Names to Watch
If you have Celiac Disease or a wheat sensitivity, be on the lookout for the following excipients, which may be derived from wheat:
Wheat starch
Modified starch (when the source isn't specified)
Pregelatinized starch
Dextrin (unless specified as corn or potato)
Dextrates (source unspecified)
Dextrimaltose (when barley malt is also used)
Cyclodextrins
Sodium starch glycolate (can sometimes be wheat-derived)
🌽Corn Names to Watch
Corn-derived ingredients are some of the most common fillers in pharmaceuticals. Look for these names:
Corn starch
Maize (the global name for corn)
Dextrose (a simple sugar made from corn)
Maltodextrin
Corn syrup / Corn syrup solids
Sorbitol (a sugar alcohol)
Xylitol
Mannitol
⚕️How to Check Your Medications
Because generic and brand-name drugs from different manufacturers can use completely different inactive ingredients, always check the "Description" section of your specific product's package insert. You can search for your medication's exact ingredients on the NIH's DailyMed database.
If one of your medications contains these fillers that your body cannot tolerate - it's time to talk to your pharmacist or the prescribing doctor for alternative options.

✨ Why is scoliosis important to detect early?
Scoliosis is a sideways curve of the spine that often develops during childhood and adolescence. While many cases are mild, untreated curves can worsen as a child grows, leading to postural changes, discomfort, and, in severe cases, reduced function. Early detection allows families to monitor spinal development and explore appropriate care options if needed.
⚕️ Why it matters?
➡️ Uneven shoulders, hips, or posture that may become more noticeable as a child grows.
➡️Back, neck, or muscle discomfort due to uneven stress on the body.
➡️Reduced flexibility and movement in some cases.
➡️Lower confidence or self-esteem if the curve causes visible changes in appearance.
➡️In more severe cases, the curve can affect rib cage development and potentially impact breathing and physical activity.
The challenge with scoliosis is that it often develops without pain, especially in children. Many parents don't notice it until they see:
✔ One shoulder higher than the other
✔ Uneven hips
✔ A rib hump when bending forward
✔ Clothing that doesn't hang evenly
This is why posture screenings ARE valuable—they help identify possible concerns early while a child is still growing.
We’re offering FREE posture screenings for the month of June for kids ages 4–17 to help parents stay proactive about their child’s spinal health.

🚶♂️🚶♀️ An imbalanced stride is often a sign that one side of the pelvis has weak muscles while the other side has tight muscles. This pelvic torsion will cause pain and inflammation in the sacroiliac joints over time. ⚠️
An uneven arm swing accompanies this pelvic imbalance. It's a warning light telling you that your body is out of balance. Think of it as your body's "check engine light" 🚨 letting you know it's time to have your movement and alignment evaluated by a chiropractor. 🩻💪
Don't ignore the warning signs—addressing imbalances early can help prevent chronic pain later! ✅
