In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, the U.S. Army has reviewed and adjusted its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. 🎂 Today is the 249th Birthday of the United States Army, and we are celebrating 249 years of our Soldiers’ service to our Nation. Since 1775, the US Army has answered the call to defend and support America and will continue to do so in the future.

On Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage, dedication, and love for our country will forever be etched in our hearts.

This is the 40th anniversary of Military Spouse Appreciation Day, which was first recognized by President Reagan in 1984. Today and every day, we thank our US Army spouses for everything you do for our Soldiers, our Families, and our Nation.
Military spouses are often asked to go above and beyond to support their servicemembers' careers. Frequent moves, deployments, training, and travel can pull our Soldiers away from home. As a result, our spouses are strong, resilient, and ready to face challenges to support us all.
And if you're reading this and you HAVE a military spouse -- maybe stop on the way home and grab him or her a treat or some flowers. :)
