Bringing the extraordinary imaginations of kids into the classroom and onto the stage!

Happy National Creativity Day!
Today, we are celebrating the extraordinary creativity of our young authors. Did you know that since 2015, Whoopensocker students have created over 20,000 (yes–20,000!) original stories? This would not have been possible without the support of our Teaching Artists who help bring the brilliant imaginations of our students to life in the classroom. Creativity is a team effort!
What new ideas will you dream up today?

As our 2025 - 2026 performance season comes to a close, take a look back at all the magic! We celebrated Whoopensocker’s 10-year anniversary, welcomed 2,000+ student audience members and 500+ public audience members, and brought 11 performances to 4 unique stages.
We can’t wait to see you again in the fall to kick off another extraordinary season!

We love author reviews—especially when we hear them live, mid-show! Enjoy some of our favorite student quotes from the Crestwood Elementary School & Glenn Stephens Elementary School performance earlier this month.
Want to experience the magic at home? Visit Whoopensocker’s channel on YouTube to watch the show in full!

Happy National Pizza Party Day!
We may not have a pizza party on the final day of the Whoopensocker residency, but we definitely bring the Pizza Party Energy!
Our time together in the classroom wraps up with everyone’s favorite Whoopensocker games and a celebratory sharing session where students choose to read, act out, or cast their classmates in their own stories.
Grab a slice of pizza (or bust out your Pizza Party Energy) on this joyous holiday!
