We had a fantastic time last week connecting with the community at the Annual Infopalooza event in Sun Prairie, WI, put on by Sunshine Place at SP East High School. It was wonderful meeting so many local residents and being a part of this forum for sharing information about the all the resources available to the Sun Prairie Community.

Thanks to funds recently awarded by the City of Sun Prairie, Project Home is proud to offer our Minor Home Repair program specifically to help Sun Prairie residents keep their homes safe and accessible.

At Project Home, we believe that a safe, stable home is the foundation of a healthy life. We are incredibly honored to have been selected as a recipient of a $12,000 grant through Epic’s Employee Directed Giving Program, which is part of their broader "Epic Give" initiative!

Because of the direct support from Epic employees, we have been able to provide critical health and safety improvements—such as essential home repairs, accessibility accommodations, and energy saving measures to low-to-moderate income seniors, individuals with disabilities, and families. These repairs directly improve the comfort, safety, and air quality of our clients' homes, ensuring they can continue living safe and sound for years to come.

We are deeply grateful to each and every Epic employee for your commitment to our neighbors and for choosing to invest in the well-being of our community. Thank you for making this vital work possible!

Small Repairs, Major Impact. ❤️

We recently received a wonderful note from Daphne, a homeowner who reminded us that what might seem like a “minor” repair is often a massive improvement for a person’s safety, comfort, and peace of mind.

Daphne came to us facing the overwhelming challenge of needing home repairs while navigating a serious health condition on a limited income. We were honored to help her by:

** Installing an ADA-compliant toilet.
** Replacing her kitchen faucet, garbage disposal, and repairing rotted wood beneath the sink.
** Fixing essential hand railings, lighting fixtures, and bathroom flooring.
** Cleaning and installing gutter guards and two hose bibs on the exterior of her home.

As Daphne so perfectly put it: "Your services prevent small issues from becoming major, hazardous problems."

And we couldn’t agree more with her call to action regarding the importance of Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). Continued government funding is the lifeline that keeps our neighbors in safe, stable homes. 🏠✨

That is exactly how we want every homeowner to feel after working with our team. We recently completed a project through the Weatherization Assistance Program, and we were so happy to make this client's home more Safe and Sound.

From attic air sealing and insulation to essential safety repairs like fixing a gas leak and replacing a water heater, our goal is to provide peace of mind. We take pride in the fact that we "explained everything... at a level [she] could understand," and we are especially glad to hear that our crew "cleaned up everything from their work."

🛠️ Turning Support into Action: "Our Bridge to Home Repairs" 🏠

We are incredibly grateful to announce a $15,000 gift from the Old National Bank Foundation in support of Project Home’s Home Repair Programs!

This vital funding is a true bridge for us. While we receive public funding to help preserve and improve housing in Madison, Dane County, and Green County, those funds only cover a portion of our actual operating expenses. This grant helps close that gap, ensuring our dedicated crews can keep doing what they do best.

For the second consecutive year, the ONB Foundation has stepped up as a key partner. Their investment directly aligns with a shared commitment to stewardship, transparency, and learning in service of our local communities.

With this 12-month grant, we are aiming to benefit 300 individuals across our communities. This funding will target critical, safety-focused home repairs for low-to-moderate-income residents.

Round two of our Spring Spruce Up with the incredible team from TruStage was a total success! 🪴✨

Last week, volunteers tackled garbage pickup, weeding, flower planting, and mulching the playground at Prairie Crossing Apartments. It was so rewarding to see last year’s planting efforts thriving—the strawberries and flowers looked beautiful, and our residents were so happy to share their progress with the team!

Huge thanks to the TruStage volunteers (Steve, Michelle and Alex) for their hard work and big hearts. You make such a difference!
