Frank Lloyd Wright loved music, and he played the piano well. In particular, he admired the works of Bach and Beethoven and often talked about them in relationship to his own work. This MBM program will be an immersive experience in which the audience can sit in Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1951 Madison masterpiece, the Unitarian Meeting House (on its 75th anniversary) while enjoying the music of Bach and Beethoven. We hope you’ll join us May 9&10! Tickets are available on our website: madisonbachmusicians.org

MBM is thrilled to welcome back Dr. Andrew Megill, one of America’s leading choral conductors, admired for his passionate artistry and unusually wide-ranging repertoire. His performances have been praised for their “power, subtlety, and nuance” and “profound spirituality,” and have been described as “leaving the audience gasping in amazement.” Mr. Megill conducts the choirs of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Carmel Bach Festival, and Chicago’s Music of the Baroque. Megill is particularly admired for his performances of Baroque choral works, including collaborations with Masaaki Suzuki, Ton Koopman and Paul McCreesh. Dr. Megill is the Arthur L. Rice Jr. Professor in Music at the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University. Come hear us perform this weekend!
