Online study with compensation for kids 10-13 years old

The Child Emotion Lab at UW-Madison is looking for families to help us with our child development research. Children (10 to 13 years of age) are invited to participate from home in an online study involving simple computer games. Compensation provided.

Studying poverty through a child’s eyes Research on early-life adversity should pay more attention to the perspective of children themselves

The Waisman Center’s Child Emotion Lab is in need of children ages 3-4 and 7-13 who would be willing to participate in an on-line research study from their homes. Each study takes from 15 – 30 minutes and children receive a $10 gift card or $10 monetary compensation for their assistance.

The goal of these studies is to better understand how children learn to understand what other people are feeling, and make decisions based upon that information. We hope that the results of these studies will help researchers develop new educational interventions for children who struggle with social skill development.

These studies do not involve a long-term commitment and do not require any in person visits to the lab. They can be completed from home.

Join us for an online study at the Child Emotion Lab at UW-Madison! Children (ages 8 and 9) are invited to play a simple computer game to help us understand how children learn about emotions. Parents give permission first and then children play a game that takes about 25 minutes. Afterwards, children will receive a $10 gift card.
