Institute of Management Accountants Social events include hockey games, picnics, basketball games etc.
The student chapter of IMA requires students to attend two professional meetings a semester as well as one social or community involvement event. At the professional events students will learn about accounting/finance positions at various organizations and have a chance to network with professionals. Community events may include working for the Ronald McDonald house, volunteering for the Goodman Center, making Thanksgiving baskets for families in need, clean up of the lakeshore area, or a variety of other ways to get involved in the community. There are also opportunities to meet with the local Madison IMA chapter and students are encouraged to run for a leadership position.
