Snowshoe Scurry The Snowshoe Scurry is on Saturday January 6, 2024 to Saturday January 27, 2024. It includes the following events: Race 1- 5k, Race 1 - 10k, Race 2 - 5k, and Race 2 10k.

Grab your friends- Trail race tomorrow 1/6. Meet for a run to start at the south arb entrance. 5k loop will be marked with orange cones! We’ve got a buff or mug giveaway, warm coffee and smiling faces. Come join! Signup online before if possible, or in person starting at 8am inside Indoorance.

Where: Norman Vethe School Prairie Trails. Cottage Grove, on Taylor Street about 0.5 mile from N. at the intersection of Taylor and Yarrow Hill Rd.

When: Saturday, Jan 28 9am

What: 1.1 mile loop will be marked out. Challenge yourself to do 1, 2, 3, 5?

Why: We haven't had snow in a while and snowshoe can be tough to just pick up. This option gives you a chance to challenge yourself with a goal but have it broken into manageable segments. Also we'll get to see each other more!

🚨 No race Saturday 🚨 Sadly, the mooshy, fresh snow of yesterday has since turned to ice and the trails are not something I personally would feel good running on. Too many frozen ice prints etc. makes it too much of an injury risk.
Spread the word to anyone who was planning to make it out.
I sure hope we get some good snow and can get out together- maybe next weekend or looking at Feb!
