Helping to take training to the next level!
Last month, the 115th Fighter Wing supported the U.S. Air Force Weapons Instructor Course (WIC), one of the Air Force’s most advanced tactical training programs. The Weapons School develops elite Weapons Officers and instructors through demanding academics and complex combat training missions focused on air, space, and cyber operations.
During the exercise, 115th pilots flew alongside USAFWS F-35s, F-16s, and F-22s to conduct training missions. The trip provided valuable experience in mission planning, flying, and debriefing while sharpening combat readiness and strengthening tactical expertise.

Shop Spotlight
At the 115th Fighter Wing, our Munitions Systems specialists keep the mission supplied and ready by building, inspecting, and delivering the munitions for our aircraft. From hands-on assembly to accountability and distribution, their work spans across nine specialized areas.
Beyond the flightline, these Airmen gain valuable mechanical and technical skills, from working with tools and maintaining trailers to managing systems and data through computer programs. The experience translates directly to real-world applications, whether in the garage or future careers.
As one A1C Gobel put it: “Who else can say they work on bombs...There’s no group closer than Ammo. Every day is different, and if you don’t want to sit behind a desk all day, this is the job.”
