The 115th Fighter Wing will be conducting evening training flights Monday through Thursday this week, September 21 - 24, shifting our typical daytime flights to the evening, concluding at approximately 10:00 p.m. This training is required to ensure our Airmen's readiness to operate in all conditions, and we will continue to follow flight paths designed to minimize noise to area residents

Mission-ready in the Arctic ❄️

The 115th Fighter Wing took to the cold early at Pituffik Space Base, Greenland, as part of Operation ARCTIC VANGUARD.

Operations like this allow the 115th to build resiliency, strengthen operational capabilities, and maintain readiness where extreme conditions test both Airmen and aircraft. It also directly supports U.S. Northern Command's mandate to monitor, deter, and defend the northern approaches to the United States.

From Wisconsin to the Arctic, our Airmen are ready to operate wherever the mission takes them.

115th Fighter Wing Airmen took to the ropes during a hands-on rescue training at Volk Field this past August.

The Air National Guard-hosted exercise “Patriot 26” brought together approximately 1,000 Airmen and Soldiers from National Guard units across 35 states, along with federal, state, and local agencies, to strengthen domestic response readiness and interagency coordination during large-scale emergencies.

Airmen who participated in the rope rescue training built their confidence in climbing and sharpened the skills needed to operate safely in elevated, challenging rescue environments.

What a weekend!

The 115th Fighter Wing was proud to take part in the Pistons and Props Airshow in Janesville this weekend, showcasing our F-35A Lightning II and connecting with the Wisconsin community.

From the skies to the ground, our Airmen had the opportunity to demonstrate what it means to be a mission-ready fighter wing, while meeting the people we’re proud to serve.

This weekend, 115th Fighter Wing F-35A Lightning II aircraft will take to the skies over Janesville for the Pistons and Props Airshow at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport.

While you may see or hear our aircraft throughout the weekend, this is just one demonstration of what it means to be a mission-ready fighter wing.

Last week, the 115th Fighter Wing hosted the international F-35 Joint Programs Office Safety Summit in Madison, Wisconsin.

With nearly 79 years of personnel excellence and aircraft ranging from the P-51 Mustang to the F-35 Lightning II, our team of over 1,200 Airmen strive for maintenance and safety expertise. During the summit, we shared critical, field-tested safety standards to help optimize safety throughout the global F-35 enterprise.

We enjoyed hosting our partners in the Badger State and look forward to continued collaboration across the force.
