This week’s spotlight is Ethan Moua! 📚😃

Ethan is a junior pursuing Information Science in the College of Letters & Science. He embodies the heart and spirit of the CeO. His drive, positivity, and exceptional work ethic make him a standout student who continuously enriches the campus community.
This summer, Ethan demonstrated extraordinary resilience and time management while working as a summer intern with the Boys & Girls Club of Milwaukee. He managed to balance a demanding professional schedule with his academics—achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA in his summer coursework!
Ethan is also deeply invested in the success of others. As a proud Peer Navigator, he acts as a trusted peer mentor, helping incoming first-year student mentees confidently navigate the complexities of college life. His impact is equally felt in the CeO Student Commons, where he works as a student staff member. Anyone walking through the doors is immediately greeted by Ethan’s warm smile and contagious positive energy!

This week’s spotlight is Hana O’Brien Ishikawa! 💡👩‍🏭

Hana took an engaging and unique one credit course this summer that she thinks more students and community members would enjoy - the METAL Bootcamp (https://share.google/dK8x4fTChaBiIpxt6)

It was 4 days of learning about the metal casting industry, design, engineering, etc. She got to do two days of casting aluminum and brass, a day in the CAD lab, and a day doing some post processing for the things we casted!

They’re trying to offer it more often and for the community on weekends, where they also provide free lunch to the people taking the class.

On Monday our very own Ryan Grady received the OACS Community Leadership Award! An award that honors individuals that have made exceptional contributions to the advising community. If you know Ryan then you know this award was made for him and long overdue. That’s why Hyewon nominated him for the award 3 years in a row and in the words of Ryan, “Don’t get in the way of Hyewon and what Hyewon wants” 😂😭

It was also an incredibly beautiful moment to see Kimberly Vue also receive this award! Kimberly is a CeO alumni, former CeO advisor, and current PEOPLE academic advising manager.

Cheers to two incredible advisors and people with the biggest hearts and the best listening ears. What a privilege it is to know you Ryan and Kimberly 🤍🌟
