Redstone Toastmasters

Members of District 77, Division L are on their way to Birmingham to support Judith at The Moth Birmingham GrandSLAM

Our meeting this past Tuesday was a good one! 🙌🏾

With “When Words Become Action” setting the tone for the evening, we had some great conversations about the power behind what we say—and what happens when we actually put those words into action. 🎤💭

And of course, we had some wins to celebrate! 🏆

This week, we’re keeping things a little laconic. 😉🎤

Our speakers may have a lot to say, but sometimes the best communication is about making your point without using a lot of words!

That’s where this week’s Word of the Week — laconic comes in. We’re challenging our Redstone Toastmasters members to work it naturally into the conversation during our meeting.

👀 Check back to see who used “laconic” correctly during the meeting!

Until then, we’ll take our own advice and keep this caption… well, laconic. 😂

🔎 From everyday essentials to world-changing ideas, this week’s meeting was all about innovation!

Our September 15 meeting theme was “World’s Greatest Inventions,” giving members the chance to share insights, learn about memorable inventions and the people behind them, and—of course—practice the communication skills we come together to strengthen each week. 💡🎤

And we have some celebrating to do! 👏🏾🏆
