The liver breaks down hormones (like estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, insulin, and thyroid hormones) and prepares them for elimination. This is especially vital in todayโs environment where xenoestrogens (plastics, pesticides, fragrances) overwhelm our detox capacity.
If the liver is sluggish or overburdened, these hormones may build up and recirculate in the body โ leading to estrogen dominance, thyroid resistance, adrenal burnout, or inflammation-driven autoimmunity.
๐น Estrogen Detox (Phase I & II Liver Pathways)
Estrogen must go through two distinct phases of liver detox:
โข Phase I (Hydroxylation): Transforms estrogen into intermediate metabolites like 2-OH, 4-OH, and 16-OH estrone.
โข Phase II (Methylation, Sulfation, Glucuronidation): Binds these metabolites so they can be safely excreted through bile, urine, or stool.
If either phase is impaired, toxic estrogen byproducts accumulate and cause damage. These byproducts have been associated with:

Gabapentin is a synthetic drug originally approved for seizures. Itโs now widely prescribed off-label for chronic pain, despite limited evidence and rising concerns over safety.
A recent study found that chronic back pain patients with six or more gabapentin prescriptions had a 29% higher dementia risk and 85% higher mild cognitive impairment risk.
An earlier Taiwanese study linked gabapentin and pregabalin to a 45% increased dementia risk, with younger adults showing the highest vulnerability and dose-related worsening.
Other reported side effects include brain fog, dizziness, sedation, psychiatric symptoms, respiratory depression, and withdrawal, especially in older adults, polypharmacy users, or those with prior substance use.
Natural pain relief strategies like walking, core strengthening, reducing sedentary time, and dietary shifts help relieve chronic low back pain without long-term drug risks.

During yesterdayโs Senate hearing, HHS Secretary RFK Jr. was asked by Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) about examples of corruption of science. RFK Jr. responded by saying that there were thousands of examples, but he chose one in particular.
In 2002, the CDC did an internal study of Fulton County, Georgia kids who got the MMR vaccine. When comparing kids who got MMR on time (before 36 months of age) versus later, black boys who got the jab on time had a 260% greater chance of an autism diagnosis.
This was a CDC study, but when the agency saw the data, the senior vaccine safety scientist at CDC along with four other co-authors of the study were ordered by their boss to destroy that piece of data that showed the 260% increase. The CDC then proceeded to publish the study without the data.
Bobby knows that story. I know that story. And there are hundreds if not thousands more like it. We are being lied to by these agencies and I believe RFK Jr. is determined to change that.
