All Curly Girls
Hey Curl Friendz! I’m Gellisa Fevrier, a licensed Curly Girl Specialist based in Brandon/Flowood/Madison Ms. This page is dedicated to celebrating all textures .
Let’s embrace every part of our natural beauty and be bold, fierce, and fearless together!
Did you know kinky, curly hair can be cut dry? ✂️I love shaping curls in their natural state because it allows me to see the true length, volume, and movement no surprises after wash day! A dry curly cut makes all the difference when done by someone who understands your texture.
Have you ever had a dry curly cut?
I know some of y’all are probably thinking, “Girl, you post a lot.” 😂
But every post has a purpose. Every video has a goal. I’m not showing up just to post I’m showing up with intention.
The emails, DMs, opportunities, and connections that have come from simply being consistent have been such a blessing. I can’t always respond to everyone right away, but please know I see you, and I’m grateful for every comment, share, message, and word of encouragement.
This journey has been about so much more than followers and views. It has stretched me, strengthened me, and reminded me that when you stay faithful to the work, God will do the rest.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support me, uplift me, and follow along. Y’all have no idea how much it means.
God is doing a great thing, and I truly believe the best is still ahead.
🤎Tell me: What’s one goal you’re refusing to give up on this year?
Your shampoo could be helping… or hurting your hair.
A lot of people focus on styling products, but healthy hair starts long before the twist-out, wash-and-go, or silk press. If your shampoo isn’t properly cleansing your scalp and removing buildup, your hair may struggle to absorb the moisture you’re putting into it.
A clean scalp creates a better environment for healthy hair and helps your products perform the way they’re supposed to.
Now let’s talk about it👇
What’s one shampoo you’ve used that made a noticeable difference in your hair? Or what’s your biggest struggle when it comes to wash day?
Let’s talk about it. Do you deal with this issue?
If you deal with heavy buildup on the scalp, I do not recommend aggressively scratching the scalp. Scratching can cause irritation, inflammation, and even more buildup over time.
There is a safe way to help loosen debris on the scalp, and that’s by using a comb gently, without disturbing or irritating the skin. When I notice excessive debris on a client’s scalp, I always communicate it with them, especially if they’re unaware.
As stylists, it’s important to know our role. We cannot medically treat scalp conditions like dermatitis or psoriasis. That’s why I always recommend seeing a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and care. Healthy scalp care works best when hairstylists and dermatologists work hand in hand, along with a balanced diet and consistent maintenance.
Healthy hair always starts with a healthy scalp.
I’m a DIY girl too, so trust me, I get it! But whew sometimes doing it all yourself gets overwhelming. Are you afraid to get your hair cut at a salon and why curl friend ?
Don’t get discouraged if your twists don’t look super full. Some of us have fine or medium-density hair, and that doesn’t make your hair any less beautiful. Your twists can still be healthy, stylish, and absolutely stunning.
The goal isn’t to have someone else’s hair. The goal is to learn how to love and work with your own.
🤎Do you have fine, medium, or thick-density hair? Let me know in the comments!
We spend so much time waiting on the perfect moment.
The perfect opportunity.
The perfect weight.
The perfect outfit.
The perfect body.
The perfect hair.
The perfect makeup.
The perfect life.
But I’m 37 years old, and I’m not waiting on perfect anymore.
If I want to wear it, I’m going to wear it.
If I want to go, I’m going to go.
If I want to try something new, I’m going to try it.
It doesn’t have to be a holiday, a special occasion, or a big event. So when you see me dressed up, don’t ask me where I’m going. Just know wherever I am, that’s the outfit I chose because I felt like wearing it.
And while we’re here, I want to congratulate myself.
I’m a little over 30 pounds down, and I’m proud of myself. Not because of the number on the scale, but because I’ve been consistent. I’ve been slowly working on becoming healthier, stronger, and feeling better in my own body.
Life is happening right now. I’m done waiting to enjoy it.What is one thing you’ve been waiting to do until everything felt “perfect”? 👇
Everybody wants instant growth, but nobody talks about the consistency it takes to get there.
I remember asking someone I deeply admire, naeemahlafond how to become an educator. Her answer was simple: get on camera, teach, share what you know, and keep showing up.
At the time, I wanted the opportunities without fully understanding the work behind them.
Looking at this page, some people may not see massive growth. But for me? This is huge. The growth isn’t just in followers it’s in me. I went from making excuses to showing up consistently for over two years.
Because of that consistency, I’ve been invited into rooms I never imagined, partnered with brands, been paid to create content, and had opportunities that had nothing to do with follower count and everything to do with faithfulness.
And I’m just getting started.
I truly believe God is opening doors that no man can close. There will be more rooms, more education, more partnerships, and more opportunities to introduce people to Christ through what I do.
If you’re waiting on your next opportunity, don’t focus on instant growth. Focus on consistency. Show up. Give yourself grace. Keep working. The growth will come.
