Brake systems hate Wisconsin winter. Here's what to check before the cold sets in.

The symptoms we see most every December: frozen brake lines that crack, slack adjusters out of spec, drum/rotor wear that crossed the line months ago.

All of these are way easier to catch in September than in January at 14 degrees.

Fleet managers: a quick map of the DOT inspection windows you should know about heading into fall.

Most commercial vehicles need a federal annual inspection every 12 months. If your unit's window opened in October last year, you've got until end of October THIS year and you do NOT want to find out at a roadside.
