Cold windy days like today call for comfort food, so we’re looking to southern cuisine for some inspiration.
Southern fried veal sweetbreads with chicken & foie gras gravy, braised swiss chard, carrot and tarragon.

New menu has landed just in time for the holiday season! Our appetizers include Spanish Octopus and Lovefood Hakurei Turnips - each of which offer a verdant and fresh contrast to the richness of winter cooking at Fairchild.
Spanish Octopus braised and tempura-fried with squid ink, sweet potato-guajillo pave, cippolini onion, frisée and cilantro.
Lovefood Hakurei Turnips, nước chấm, Thai vinaigrette and pickled Black Earth Valley spinach.

Menu for our collaborative dinner with is here!
Tickets for this meal will become available tonight starting at 5pm via Resy. We’ve put together a ten course tasting menu focused on a larder of Andrew’s products with a mixed beverage pairing available.
All proceeds will be donated to Women’s Medical Fund ( ) who supports Wisconsin residents in paying for abortion care and educates and organizes for abortion access in our state.

We’d like to introduce you all to . If you haven’t yet, take a second to scroll through his page and then come back to this post. Feeling hungry, inspired, curious, or mind blown by his inventive fermentation and flavor experiments? So are we.
That’s why we are so excited to announce an upcoming meal with Andy - a multi-course tasting with beverage pairings utilizing a larder of ingredients Andy has put together. Better yet, all proceeds from our collaboration will be donated to Women’s Medical Fund - a Wisconsin based fund that has been ensuring access to abortion since 1972.
Expect delicious things like habanada butternut curry sauce, sweet corn / masa miso syrup, pheasantback mushroom garum, and cider poached ginger turmeric carrot.

Not only that, but his jovial, caring and honest approach to team members make our restaurant family better.

Hey y’all! Quick announcement - half our team is packing up and heading to in Spring Green for their 11th Annual Harvest Moon Dinner. We can’t wait to bring our food to the field for you and celebrate the bounty of late summer - there’s a few tickets remaining for this Friday, Saturday and Sunday; head to the events page of our website for info on how to purchase.
With that said, we are currently no longer accepting reservations at Fairchild for today and tomorrow.
Following this, we will be closing for a week to give our team some time to enjoy the last days of summer!
We will reopen on the first day of fall - Wednesday, September 21, and can’t wait to lean into the comforting flavors of a new season.
