Happy Birthday to The Playing Field! Today, our midtown location is eleven years old and our east side site turns one!

We started out with a goal to break barriers for low income families to accessing high quality early care and education. These barriers include cost, transportation, and exclusive policies.

Each day, 250 US children are suspended or expelled from early childhood programs. This is often related to early adversity and translates to this- children most in need of nurturing early childhood programs are the ones most likely to be denied access. The Playing Field has demonstrated that with the proper support, children can be successful!

Many thanks to our supporters, families, and staff! You are helping us give all children a fair start to school and life success!
