Cluck, cluck BOOM!!!! Where’s Chicken? won the Breakthrough Award at FIRST World Championship. FIRST in Alabama

Day 3 (posted late;) It was a super rainy day! We had our three robot matches, not our best performance but we improved each match. One of the girls said it perfectly, Steve (robot) ran perfectly but our hands aren’t as reliable. We got to build on the Lego mural for next year’s theme, watch the big robots (FRC), candy bar reward at the hotel and capped the day off with some serious board game competiton.

FIRST World Championships Day 2, we started the day off early with a practice round then right to judging. We are teaching the chicken dance and meet the Lego table game designer. We were told the chicken will make an appearance next season. Lastly, we made way through the innovation fair and the navy exhibits. It’s been a good but the chickens are exhausted!

We built the chicken coop, met some people from all over the world (Austria, Belize, & Korea are our neighbors) while collecting buttons, swam in the pool and now exhausted. It’s early morning for us….good night my chickens!

Ice cream you scream, who doesn’t love a good ice cream party to meet up with the other FIRST Alabama teams going into worlds.

Where’s Chicken? is headed to FIRST World Tournament in just two weeks. We have a few more things left on our wish list, every bit helps.

Congratulations to the Captain Alliance State Champions! 🏆 Alumni Charli, Maddox & Trenton
They have moved onto the Premier International invitational tournament in Kentucky at the end of May.

Proud is truly an understatement. Watching these students grow from little LEGO kids into confident leaders and advocates for robotics has been incredible.

Along the way, they’ve learned life skills that go far beyond robotics — problem-solving under pressure, public speaking, collaboration, time management, perseverance through setbacks, and how to graciously win (and lose).

They aren’t just robotics kids.
They’re athletes. Scholars. Leaders. Teammates. Best Friends. Their future is bright!😍🤩💪🏼
