🎨✨ We absolutely LOVE how these multi-media masterpieces turned out!

Last week in art, we added new layers and details to the paintings we made earlier this month. Creating a project over multiple days helps us practice patience and persistence. Ms. Faith also introduced the concept of "multi-media," which involves combining different materials together to make an art piece.

The Sunshine's Classroom explored the exciting world of reptiles! 🦎☀️
Students learned that reptiles have babies that hatch from eggs. Ms. Lisa and Mr. Andrew brought this lesson to life with a fun dinosaur egg-hatching art project.🦖

Our classrooms had so much fun learning ASL with Ms. Faith last week! 🤟🎶
We learned new signs through music and movement, and we also practiced songs and signs from previous lessons. Singing and signing together helps our students build communication skills, confidence, and connection

Big or small, our classrooms love learning with our wonderful Spanish teacher, Ms. Valentina! 🌟
This week, Ms. Valentina taught us all about opposites. Learning another language at an early age helps children see the world from different perspectives, strengthens communication skills, and builds confidence and curiosity along the way.💫

Nicole is a bubbly, bright presence who brings joy and positivity to her students, families, and coworkers each day. Her hardworking attitude, caring nature, and expertise in Spanish make her an incredible asset to The Learning Gardens.

🌸The Learning Gardens had a lot to celebrate in May!🌸

We made special Mother’s Day art projects! From colorful handprint tote bags to bouquets of flowers, each project was made with love for the amazing moms in our lives. 🎨💐

We also want to give a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful families for helping make Teacher Appreciation Week so special! We enjoyed lots of yummy treats, including an “apple nacho” bar, a taco bar, and the most adorable dirt cake cupcakes. Our teachers felt lots of love in the kind notes and the generosity of our Learning Gardens community. 🍎✨

Last week in art class, we got messy exploring different ways to apply paint to paper! Using sponges, paintbrushes, and everyday objects, we experimented with colors and textures for a fun sensory experience.

Art helps children build fine motor skills, strengthen creativity and self-expression, practice problem-solving, and learn through play! 🎨✨

This week in ASL, Miss Faith taught us signs all about our families! We practiced with a special song and had fun talking about the people (and pets!) in our families. 🐈👶👱‍♀️💕
