The other side of the shop had a MASSIVELY successful weekend journeying down to Tennessee for the Overmountain Rally.

Congrats to the whole team for pulling off the incredible feat!

On National “Rainbow Bridge Day” we look back on Moka, the pupper that started it all and was the core of the Rally Bee. Constantly found napping in the back seat, laying under the car when the hoist was going down, or stashing her tennis balls in the truck. She enjoyed her short time wrenching with all of us.

And on the same day, 3 years ago. We made our competition debut, SOMEHOW eeking out an unofficial stage win. After the crew pulled an all nighter sorting out oil leaks, turbo problems, and tuning gremlins

Core memories! Will never forget this day. Moka would be proud. 🙂

Volunteers needed for upcoming Lake Superior Performance Rally The LSPR is happening Oct. 11 in the Sidnaw area and Oct. 12 in Marquette County.

“The Central UP Iron Mule Rally is quickly approaching. Building on last year’s success, the organizers have added two night stages to start the race Friday evening! Saturday stages are the same as last year and will include spectating locations. Also new for this year will be a Saturday morning Parc Expose. There are no spectator areas for Friday night.

There is not a better way to get involved with rally than to volunteer at a regional event with a seasoned organization. We would love to show you the ropes. Come help with tech, help with net control, help with registration, help with scoring, help with control zones, or any number of essential positions. Plus you get to meet and hang out with some of the best people around.

Very happy to see our friend Manu and his codriver come away with the injuries they did and not worse. Hoping for a speedy recovery on both their parts.

Never skimp on safety in any type of Motorsport!

Well, it didn’t end the way we wanted it to. And thankfully neither Jason or I even got a scratch. CUP Hardwood comes to an end with ANOTHER roll, but ANOTHER finish. This car seems to have some feline instincts. Video in the comments!

Jason proved he was definitely co-driver material after experiencing just about everything you could in one single event. Hats off to you for your dedication, Jason. Hopefully we can find a way to get you back into a silly seat soon!

Unfortunately, this will be the retirement of the Bee. It was going to happen this year anyway, just a bit earlier than expected. The damage assessments will happen eventually and we’ll share all the evidence, AND on-board video.

Thanks to all the NASA Rally Sport and the Central UP Rally Hardwood organizers for putting on another spectacular event! thank you to all the volunteers, Marshals, medical personnel, spectators and other competitors and making this arguably the FUNNEST (yes I know it’s not a word) event I’ve personally attended and competed in.

Next up is volunteering….or crewing duty ( 👀 GarboZoom Racing ) for Iron Mule ‘24. Big congrats to Dexter Clark and Bryce Proseus on their overall + 2WD win!!

Got up to Hardwood for a half day early to R&R and get ducks in a row. Had some great pizza with some great people, matched Steves outfit, met a cow named Yooper while getting ice cream at last call. Recce’d all day. Passed tech, THEN the car decided to lose all fuel pressure on the mile drive back to the campground. Went to dinner to stress eat . Visited Walmart to find an audio adapter, crew fixed the car. WOOHOO!

ANYWAYS, midnight bedtime, Breakfast, RALLY DAY! 2nd on the road, right behind our friends . Debut event in the silly seat for , goal is to have fun, finish, and see what happens!

Congrats to Jake on being a recipient for a Grant from The Bluebird Fund! In a year of rebuilding, we are excited to explore the options of honing in on improving our pacenotes.

Great work, Jake! 🎉 🎈 🎊
