UWSHC Audiology/Listen Up UW will be at the UW Volleyball Silent Set Match on Wednesday, November 20! The goal of the Silent Set Match is to raise awareness for the funding, resources, and education needs of the hard of hearing community. Stop by our table at the game between gates B and C. We will be sharing some fun hearing health education as well as info on the care we provide!

The Wisconsin volleyball program is hosting the Silent Set Match in partnership with Chasing Greatness, a non-profit organization with the goal of providing funding and resources to support the hard of hearing community. Chasing Greatness was founded by former Penn State volleyball player Jonni Parker, who has become a role model showing children that no obstacle should stand in the way of pursuing their dream.

Hearing health fact of the month: Just like bowling balls strike down pins, loud noises can strike down hair cells in your ears, causing hearing loss! πŸŽ³πŸ‘‚

Consistent exposure to high noise levels can cause irreversible damage to your ears. Protect your hearing and keep all your hair cell 'pins' standing! πŸ›‘οΈβœ¨
